    Philipp Czora I own a Kindle Keyboard as well, and though I never really used the keyboard, I love the page-turning buttons. I couldn't get why Amazon would switch to touch-only-page-turning when they released the Kindle Touch, and I still don't get why they continue to pursue this obviously inferior approach.

"It was clear to anybody who would use it, even in the iOS betas, that Maps looks pretty bad," one source told Ars. "If someone had showed that to Steve, he would've said, 'This looks like shit.' He would have actually said that. Tim did the right thing by apologizing, but the better thing would've been, like, 'We can't ship this.'"

So you’ve heard me whine a bit about how difficult it was to make StarCraft, largely through poor choices made at every level of the company about the game’s direction, technology and design. We were fortunate to be a foolhardy but valiant crew, and our perspicacity carried the day. In the end we buckled down and stopped adding features long enough to ship the game, and players never saw the horror show underneath. Perhaps that’s another benefit of compiled languages over scripted ones like JavaScript — end users never see the train wreck!

I just got a call from the detective asking if my computer changed position, because he has it! According to the detective, he assembled a team, and search warrant in hand, knocked on the door of the house. Receiving no answer, they turned on sirens and lights and announced their intention to enter — which they then did, with the aid of a Halligan bar and door ram. Once in, the house was swept and declared clear. Well, except for the drugs.

An diesen zwei Beispielen kann man erkennen, wie schief die Debatte um Sicherheit bei Fußballspielen geführt wird. Nach dem Relegationsspiel in Düsseldorf gab es dank der Live-Übertragung sowohl medial als auch in der Politik kaum noch ein Halten. Obwohl niemand verletzt wurde, beherrschte das Thema tagelang die Schlagzeilen.

It would be wonderful to be in a position of developing software, blindly sending it out into the world, and making a fortune. It does happen.
